Landscape with Prunus Pine and Bamboo
This class focuses on creating landscape-style arrangements using Prunus, Pine, and Bamboo, reflecting the Ohara School’s approach to nature-inspired compositions. Students will learn to represent seasonal scenery and the natural character of each plant while maintaining structural balance and proportion.
Instruction emphasizes correct placement of materials, the creation of depth and perspective, and the harmonious interplay of line, mass, and empty space. Special attention is given to shin–soe–tai relationships, rhythm, and the expressive qualities of each element.
Through this class, students develop both technical skill and an understanding of landscape expression in the Ohara tradition, capturing the essence of nature in miniature form.
Half day classes are £30. You will also need to purchase the flowers separately which can cost anything up to £20 extra.
