Haiku Interpretation with Ikebana
Haiku and Ikebana share an appreciation of seasonality, simplicity, and suggestion. In this session, students will interpret selected haiku through floral composition.
Attention is given to atmosphere, imagery, and the expressive use of line and empty space, allowing arrangements to communicate the essence of the poem rather than illustrating it directly. Guidance will support both structured and more personal interpretations according to individual level.
All day classes are £50. You will also need to purchase the flowers separately which can cost anything up to £20 extra.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
As the discipline of Ikebana follows a strict curriculum, if you are new to Ikebana, you will start at the beginning of the curriculum for any class you attend. You can find the curriculum here.
