Ikebana from the Garden
Garden-grown materials provide the starting point for this practical session, encouraging students to observe the natural character of seasonal branches, foliage, flowers, and seed heads before incorporating them into Ohara arrangements.
Each student will work at an appropriate level within the curriculum, with guidance tailored to individual experience. Emphasis is placed on line, proportion, material selection, and responding to the unique qualities of plants gathered from the garden.
Half day classes are £30. You will also need to purchase the flowers separately which can cost anything up to £20 extra.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
As the discipline of Ikebana follows a strict curriculum, if you are new to Ikebana, you will start at the beginning of the curriculum for any class you attend. You can find the curriculum here.
