This class focuses on the Landscape arrangement, a seasonal style grounded in the Moribana tradition. Both Realistic and Traditional landscape approaches will be explored, each offering a way to capture the natural world through careful structure and considered material choice.
Landscape arrangements are based on a defined set of materials, selected for their seasonal relevance and expressive quality. The Ohara School outlines specific rules for how these materials are to be used to form various natural scenes. In this session, you will learn the key components, variations, and techniques required to create a balanced and authentic composition in both styles.
This style reflects the Japanese appreciation for nature and the passing of the seasons. Through your work, you will develop a deeper understanding of how to translate landscape into floral form, while further building your practical skills and sensitivity to natural expression.
Half day classes are £30. You will also need to purchase the flowers separately which can cost anything up to £20 extra.
