Tall Pots Freestyle
The focus in this class will be on creating arrangements using tall pots. Depending on where you are in the syllabus will determine the types of arrangements you create. This will give you a chance to practice different styles whilst working within the Ohara concepts of line, balance, space, and natural movement. Techniques will be practiced with attention to shin–soe–tai relationships, material selection, and the expressive use of negative space. The tall vessel format encourages investigation of height, depth, and dynamic line, allowing each arrangement to reflect both structure and individuality.
This session is designed to help students strengthen technical understanding while developing personal expression within the Ohara ikebana tradition.
Half day classes are £30. You will also need to purchase the flowers separately which can cost anything up to £20 extra.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
As the discipline of Ikebana follows a strict curriculum, if you are new to Ikebana, you will start at the beginning of the curriculum for any class you attend. You can find the curriculum here.
