Half-Day: SUMMER RIMPA

  • Harbridge, Court Barn Lane Chichester, England, PO20 United Kingdom (map)

Summer Rimpa

This class explores Rimpa within the Ohara School tradition, an expressive form inspired by classical Japanese Rimpa painting. It emphasises dynamic line, rhythm, and movement, with arrangements that often use bold groupings and considered spatial design to create striking yet balanced compositions.

Depending on level within the curriculum, guidance is adjusted individually to support appropriate technical development and understanding. Advanced students will be encouraged to further explore expressive structure and compositional intent.

Designed for students with a strong foundation in Ohara techniques.

Half day classes are £30. You will also need to purchase the flowers separately which can cost anything up to £20 extra.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

As the discipline of Ikebana follows a strict curriculum, if you are new to Ikebana, you will start at the beginning of the curriculum for any class you attend. You can find the curriculum here.
