Half-Day: DESIGNS WITH ROSES, INCLUDE COLOUR SCHEME

  • Harbridge, Court Barn Lane Chichester, England, PO20 United Kingdom (map)

Designs with Roses, include Colour Scheme

This class focuses on the use of roses in Ohara School ikebana, with particular attention to colour relationships within an arrangement. Students will explore how colour can be considered alongside structure, influencing the overall balance and clarity of the design.

Working with arrangements appropriate to their stage in the curriculum, participants will practise established techniques while considering the form and placement of roses in combination with other materials. Guidance will be tailored individually, supporting each student’s development.

Attention will be given to proportion, line, and the interaction between colours, with the aim of creating compositions that are cohesive and well-resolved.

Suitable for students at all levels.

Half day classes are £30. You will also need to purchase the flowers separately which can cost anything up to £20 extra.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

As the discipline of Ikebana follows a strict curriculum, if you are new to Ikebana, you will start at the beginning of the curriculum for any class you attend. You can find the curriculum here.
