General designs with Peonies
This class offers the opportunity to work with peonies across a range of Ohara School ikebana styles. Rather than focusing on a single form, students will practise arrangements appropriate to their stage in the curriculum.
Guidance will be tailored individually, allowing each participant to apply current techniques while working with seasonal material. Attention will be given to the handling of peoniesātheir form, weight, and placementāand how they relate to supporting materials such as branches and foliage.
The class supports steady development through practice, with an emphasis on structure, proportion, and clear use of line within each arrangement style.
Suitable for students at all levels.
Half day classes are £30. You will also need to purchase the flowers separately which can cost anything up to £20 extra.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
As the discipline of Ikebana follows a strict curriculum, if you are new to Ikebana, you will start at the beginning of the curriculum for any class you attend. You can find the curriculum here.
